Facial or Body Chemical Peel
A Chemical Peel can bring about a significant improvement in the appearance of the skin rejuvenation on the face and the body. In this procedure a determined concentration of the peeling agent is applied to the area of concern. Application of the peeling solution on the skin initiates the peeling process. As a result, the topmost (dead layer of the skin) slowly peels off. In a few weeks healthier looking skin replaces the old skin.

The best candidates for a treatment are men and women who are physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in their expectations. Most are 18 or older, but if discolorations and acne scars are a problem, you may decide to have this procedure at a younger age.
Most patients experience a response to a chemical face peel within one to two treatments. However, follow-up treatments may be necessary to achieve optimal results. A Chemical Peel has the reputation as being one of the safest procedures available for skin rejuvenation. However, medical treatment is not an exact science and the degree of the improvement is variable.

After a Chemical Peel some patients return to work the same day, although some patients require a longer recovery time of several days. During the procedure you may experience some mild discomfort, similar to a transient stinging sensation. A numbing cream and application of local anesthetics may be advised by your physician to the treatment to reduce any discomfort.

It is highly recommended that one use an SPF 30 or greater sunscreen. If you have been instructed by the treating physician to use a topical cream 4–6 weeks prior to each treatment, it is important to follow all directions. To prevent infection oral antibiotics and antiviral medication may be prescribed by the physician. Please take all medication as prescribed and follow all guidelines established by the physician.
